Is Your Virtual Assistant Business Remotely Protected Yet?
As many of you know from my Twitter feed this week, I had two business computers crash on me this past week. Anyone in business virtually will agree, this can totally abrupt the cash flow in your business until you are up and running again.
Thank goodness my computer guy was right on top of it!
He remotely fixed my main computer for me so I was up and running again within a few hours. As for my 2 year old laptop that died, he researched online and found a way to get it replaced for free through a manufacturers litigation proceeding! Had it not been for his diligent research, I would have had to spend $1,000+ buying a new laptop this week.
Then we got to talking and I mentioned to him that it’s too bad that every Virtual Assistant couldn’t make use of his wonderful computer repair services when he said “They still can >>> remotely!”
The result of our conversation?
He put together a specialized remote service package just for our members at VAnetworking.com. YAY!
SO without further adieu, I’d like to introduce you to Michael Van Ert, better known as The Computer Guy, who will share with you all the details of this unique remote service package. Take it away Michael…
Why would anyone want to have their computer remotely serviced every month? Because ‘stuff’ happens and when it happens to you it can be very expensive in lost revenue, down time, possible data loss and just the anxiety that comes from wondering how long it will be before you can resume your business.
Everyone reading this would benefit from the computer services I am offering, a type of insurance really, at a very reasonable cost (Over 55% off my regular rates).
Here’s what I’ll do, what I am doing, for others every month >>>
- I’ll keep your computer equipped with the best freeware available
- I’ll clean your computer of spyware, malware, viruses and Trojans through the above set of freeware programs
- I’ll speed up your system by removing hidden program start-ups and services you’ll never use
- I’ll keep you informed of recalls, promotions, tips & tricks related to your computer through my newsletter ‘The Byte Line’ (NOTE from Tawnya: Thanks again for finding that recall on my laptop and saving me $1,000+ this week!)
- When asked, I’ll advise you on hardware and software choices and pricing
- I’ll keep your computer’s hardware and software up-to-date
- And I guarantee you will not pay for any software repairs because of a virus, Trojan, spyware or malware for the entire time of the contract should your computer become infected
HOW DOES IT WORK?
I use a program called LogMeIn to access your computer(s) so you’ll have to sign up for their FREE account (or their paid one, it’s up to you) and send me the login information for your account and the user name and password for your computer(s). Once a month I will contact you to remind you that I will be performing my service and maintenance on your computer the next day. You’ll need to have your computer turned on and ready at the appropriate time. The first time will take 3-8 hours per computer, depending on the state of your system. Some of the programs I use take a long time to run and I’ll be on and off your computer during the maintenance stage. When I am done I will leave a note on your desktop telling you I’m finished. You will NOT be able to use your computer during this time.
Make no mistake, I do want you to buy my services, I just don’t want to bore the heck out of you in the process. Here’s what I am offering, one year of computer servicing & maintenance for $384.00, a $900.00 value per computer saving you $516.00 per year.
My SPECIAL Offer to you…
>>> 1 year of computer servicing & maintenance regularly priced at $900 for just $384!
ORDER HERE >> Remote Computer Maintenance Package
That works out to a savings of $516 per year and only $32 per month to remotely protect your business computer. (NOTE from Tawnya: Super duper deal here VAs, you won’t be disappointed, I promise you that!)
YEAH, BUT… COMMONLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q. Who are you?
A. You can learn more about me, read testimonials and learn how my remote maintenance program works by visiting my blog site at http://mvanert.com.
Q. Can I use my computer when you are doing your work?
A. No.
Q. I have more than one computer; can I get even a better deal?
A. Yes, see the drop-down menu for further discounts if you have 2 or 3 computers.
Q. Can I pay you monthly instead?
A. Yes, the retail cost is $75 per month per computer, discounted to $65 per month for a second computer and less for 3 or more, ask me for details. The only way you can get the $32 per month deal is to pre-pay for one year.
Q. What if I want to quit after 3 months, will I get a refund?
A. Yes, but it will be based on $75 per service, so $384 (one year) – $225 (3 x $75) = $159 refund. If you cancel after five months or more there would be no refund.
Q. Can I try your services out first before paying for the year?
A. Sure, the cost is $75.00. If you decide you like what I did and want to go ahead with the one year contract you will be invoiced for the $384.00 less $75.00 already paid and payment would have to be made within 7 days of the first service.
Q. How do I install LogMeIn?
A. Go to http://mvanert.com to get complete instructions on installing LogMeIn and to find what your User name is. Look under the tabs “Free Computer Tips & Tricks” for LMI installation and “Free Video Help” to find out about User accounts.
Q. How do I pay?
A. You can pay using PayPal, Visa or MasterCard from the invoice that will be sent you.
Q. Can you see everything on my computer?
A. Yes. So if you have plans for world domination with the help of the super aliens from planet Necromenrtias I could find it. If you have a secret fetish about Bart Simpson on your computer I could find it. If you have photos of a secret hiding place for your Lego recreation of Bart, I could find it.
But I won’t.
Let me be brutally honest and blunt, I don’t care what you have on your computer. I really don’t have the time to look and unless there is the secret for turning Rice Krispies into gold sitting on your desktop, I won’t be looking.
Besides, you can watch what I’m doing for the whole 3-8 hours and if you, at any time, see me doing something you don’t want me to do you can terminate the LogMeIn session and you can either remove your computer from LogMeIn or cancel your LogMeIn account and I’ll never be able to access your computer(s) again. YOU, not me, are in total control at ALL TIMES.

Get Articles for Your Website or Blog Without Writing a Word & Help a Child!
If you’ve got a website or blog, you know that the one thing you can’t get enough of is content.
Articles to publish on your website or blog, tips to publish in your ezine, and content to create reports for your readers. Sound familiar?
Now, to get content, you have a few options.
1. Use free reprint articles. These are great. But, with each article you publish, you’re linking to and promoting others as the expert.
2. Hire ghostwriters. Again, a great option, unless you’re on a tight budget. Ghostwritten articles can cost anywhere between $7-25 per article, depending on quality and length. Plus, it can be extremely difficult to find the “perfect” writer. (But, once you do, stick with her and pay her well!)
3. Write it Yourself. A great option and many of us do. However, if you’re creating many niche websites (or if you’re overwhelmed with other work), sometimes the writing load can get a bit heavy.
4. Private Label Rights (PLR). Here’s the route many web publishers prefer. You buy articles that are very affordable and very flexible. No linking to others. No paying for unique articles. You can change them as much as you’d like or just stick them onto your website as they are.
Lucky for you, one of my dear friends, Nicole Dean, who I met at a Niche Affiliate Marketing Systens (NAMS) event and who now is a business partner of mine (Shameless Plug: Check out our new website together for women freelancers) has been providing fabulous PLR for the last 4 years.
I love Nicole’s PLR and find myself always buying from her whenever I need some more content for one of my many websites. It’s my one stop content resource when I’m in a hurry and just too lazy to write
Nicole has writers adding new content all the time and she’s has for you a whole bunch of new article packs ready on every subject imaginable!
AND now’s the BEST TIME EVER to order your PLR because until we both go to NAMS on August 18th, Nicole is donating all sales to organizations which are working to save children’s lives.
So BUY your Private Label Rights PLR today!
AND YES, this is my affiliate link but guess what? I’m going to donate all my sales commissions until the 18th too! That means 100% of all sales are going to help many children if you order by August 18th, 2010.
Now, if you’ve got some time and would like to know the story behind how all this came to Nicole, and learn more about each of the organizations we are donating to, please keep reading Nicole’s story below.
Otherwise grab your PLR here which you’ll want to bookmark for when you need PLR.
Words from Nicole Dean…
There’s been an odd series of happenings in my life that has led me to this email. It’s an interesting story, in my opinion, and I hope you’ll agree.
First of all, my motto in my business is and has been “To Make the Web and the World a Better Place”. Before I take any action in my business, it has to pass both of those tests.
That motto guides me in my business every day.
But, at some point I got busy. I was doing a lot to make the web a better place, and I’ve made some nice donations along the way to good organizations, but it wasn’t enough.
Is it ever *really* enough?
Then, this month’s issue of Success Magazine showed up – including a whole section on how “ONE PERSON CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE”.
Some of the quotes in that section felt like a kick in the gut –
“How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before beginning to improve the world.” – Anne Frank (Holocost Victim)
“It’s easy to make a buck. It’s a lot tougher to make a difference.” – Tom Brokaw
“We must not, in trying to think about how we can make a big difference, ignore the small daily differences we can make which, over time, add up to big differences that we often cannot foresee.” — Marian Wright Edelman
So, I started to think about some of the marketers who I admire and how they are giving back – a lot. (You’ll see how two of them are below.)
Then, I started to think about a friend who lost her baby in June, and I didn’t do *enough* then either.
While I was pondering this, and tears were running down my face, it hit me! KABLOOEY!
At NAMS on the 20th-22nd this month, as part of the event David Perdew encourages all attendees to help Dr. Mani to save children’s lives.
If you’ve never heard of Dr. Mani, he’s a heart surgeon who is also an internet marketer. He donates his time to saving the lives of children who need heart surgery and can’t afford it.
The idea started to come together.
But, then I started to think about Paul Evans – another marketer who will be at NAMS. Paul builds orphanages around the world to allow those children to have a childhood free of the unimaginable horrors they would otherwise experience.
And, then, my heart welled up, thinking about Melissa Ingold, whose son Kyle, passed away in June, 8 days before his second birthday. He had a genetic disorder, Gaucher’s Disease, for which, there is currently no cure.
And, the idea solidified in my mind.
Here are the three organizations.
All monies will be split between the three organizations, evenly.
Why the 18th? Because that’s the day that I leave to go to NAMS and I’d like to make a donation on behalf of EasyPLR.com Affiliates, in addition to my own.
Thanks for your support everyone.
I can’t wait to give you a big hug in a week at NAMS Nicole!

Virtual Blog Tour with Alpha WAHM – Karri Flatla
More and more women are choosing to work from home as a way to blend their professional passion, their desire for wealth AND their role as a mother.
Yet the self-help industry advises women to compartmentalize—to strive for “work-life balance” in order to achieve a sense of meaning and order in their lives. This advice leaves the modern work at home mom feeling frustrated, lonely, and confused. Why? And what can you, the work-at-home mom do about it?
Finally the guesswork’s been taken out of becoming a successful empowered Alpha WAHM (work at home mom).
Karri Flatla, author of Alpha WAHM Blueprint: An Empowerment Guide for Work-at-Home Moms, has agreed to answer three burning interview questions about her recently released book and becoming the work-at-home entrepreneur you’ve always wanted to be.
Check back here on Tuesday, February 16th for her interview at and leave a comment to enter Karri’s Comment Contest Giveaway.
The winner will receive a free copy of Karri’s eBook: 99 Web Marketing Tips and Aha! Moments to Grow Your Online Business (Rocket Science Not Included).
The Secret To My Success – Kellogg’s Rice Krispies
I recently spoke at the Niche Affiliate Marketing System Workshop (NAMS) and I was asked to write down my secrets to success to share with the attendees.
NAMS is fast becoming the premiere event in the U.S. where expert instructors actually teach students to build businesses in just three days. I highly recommend you attend the next NAMS workshop if you can.
And if you can’t attend? Then at the very least, invest in your business by getting the NAMS4U 2gb Flash Drive containing all the recordings, text material and more. It retails for a ridiculous bargain of $297. But until the 51 Custom Flash Drives are sold out, you can still order these for just $97 which is a real steal.
The Secret To My Success
The secret to my success came to me from a cereal box of all places. Some people claim high power people like Donald Trump or Oprah have given them the secrets to success. To me it came from three little Elf Chefs named Snap, Crackle and POP.
It’s quite simple, you don’t need to work out long complicated plans and flow sheets. It all comes from inside, and you just need the tools to get started, after that the wheels of momentum and the knowledge of experience (whether gleaned from self experience) take over.
So let’s get back to my three little friends from the Kellogg’s Rice Krispies box…
SNAP! This is easy to understand, you have the dream, you have the skills, and you have the desire to change your life. So … SNAP TO IT! It won’t happen until you start, and has been said by someone wiser than I, “All journeys start with a single step”.
CRACKLE! Ok, I changed the word a little, but you need to CRACK the whip every day. Rome wasn’t built in a day, but seeing as you’re most likely starting your empire alone, you need to crack the whip on yourself every day, especially when it seems that the building process will never stop. Little secret here, it won’t. Because as with Rome, you’ll always need another street or another shop, or most likely, in your case a another website!
POP! He’s a little different as he is the anchor in your marathon to the top and he has several jobs for the long haul. So let’s break POP down to its core.
P is for Perseverance. You have the passion, now believe in yourself enough to persist through the tough days, there will be many, but the rewards will come.
O is for Outsource. You know what you’re good at so outsource the rest, there is no point you spending time on something you don’t like or know how to do. Do what you know how to do and love doing best, and get others to do what they’re good at.
P is for Populous. Surround yourself with people that think the way you do (This does not mean find “Yes Men” either). This means find people with similar skills, to learn from, with similar dreams to aspire with and similar goals to work towards. And don’t forget to hang with the people you wish to be like one day too!
So go pour yourself a bowl of success, add a little milk, and just a touch of sugar to sweeten it up, and go get em’ Tiger… Oh that’s another box of cereal and other story, but that will come later.
One of 2009′s Best Kept Secrets – Private Label Rights
Here’s one of my best kept secrets from 2009 that I’m going to share with you this New Year…
I’ve often been asked, “Tawnya, how do you keep up with fresh content on all of your websites you have?”
It’s not as hard as you may think. I have over 75 websites that all require regular new content to help entice loyal visitors to come back for a visit. Content is still KING online and users want information. These returning visitors to my blogs and websites produce passive income sales for me through my affiliate links so that when I wake up in the morning, money is in my email box!
Now, there’s no way I could keep up with writing all fresh content on my own for all my websites, blogs, autoresponders, newsletters, etc. AND that is where PLR comes in handy for me!
What is PLR?
PLR is short for “Private Label Rights” articles. PLR Articles are a fantastic way to add new content to your website or blog and fill up your newsletter or autoresponder easily and quickly without much effort on your part.
Example: I have a blog for our new bichon frise puppy dog which serves two purposes:
One it keeps my family and friends up to date on our puppy’s goings on.
Second, it makes passive money selling ebooks through Clickbank to help pay for our family pet. It’s amazing how much a pet can cost your family budget and this blog helps pay for all the expenses our family incurs from having a dog (including a $1800 operation awhile back when Roscoe broke his leg).
You can find PLR on just about any topic too from dog training to Internet
marketing training. It also comes in many formats from articles to videos for
you to use almost any way you wish.
One of my favourite places to buy PLR is through a dear friend and business partner Nicole Dean.
Nicole Dean’s EasyPLR is 100% original content that is professionally written and edited.
One reason I love Nicole’s PLR is because it is sold in very limited quantities with no commitments required. Basically what that means is the content will only be sold to a limited amount of people (you can be confident that a only a few other website owners are using the content too). Plus you can use or edit the articles however you wish to make money from them.
If you really want to have a few nest egg websites online producing passive money while you sleep, consider PLR for your content needs like I do.
BONUS: Here are a couple of videos, my friend Nicole has put together that answers the two main concerns most have about PLR.
Is it Ethical to use PLR Content?
How to Avoid Bad PLR Content:
I highly recommend checking out Nicole’s Private Label Rights articles.
I know you will love them as much as I do if you don’t have time to write but you have websites, membership sites, autoresponders, newsletters or blogs that need content.
ENJOY and to a success 2010 with your virtual business!
